Family Line - Ball , New Hampshire
There had been a persistent family myth that the Norton's were related to the Mary Ball Washington family of VA.
In spending several years reasearching this, I contacted the Ball family website where they have done a through DNA project,
tracking all the various lines of the John Ball family from England. The brick wall was Nancy Ball Norton's father,
Aaron who married Betsey Pillsbury. I could not locate his father or mother to find where the trail lead backwards.
After working with the Ball family, we finally broke thru the wall and connected him to the New Hampshire Ball migration from
England. We have established that our line is from John Ball, but once they came to the Colonies, the lines split off
in various directions. The other myth about Nancy was that she was a seamstress and weaver of renown so I would
like to gain more information on this as time goes by.
